Square 50 is a 96,800SF multi-family, mixed-use development, including a new ground fire station, squash club and a residential tower with 61 affordable dwelling units.

CM KLING collaborated closely with the owner, the Mexico-based architect, the local architect of record, and the German custom luminaire designer. The lighting concept for each space was unique but tied together by a modern, urban-industrial aesthetic.

The squash club’s competition court features blue walls and special lighting (5000K) with lighting controls that meet TV/video broadcast requirements. A custom flying ring element in the bar and social area was coordinated with the luminaire artist and integrated into the overall lighting and controls plan.
