The Downtown Mobility Center introduces a new point of arrival in the heart of Memphis, bringing parking, cycling, ride share, retail, and pedestrian movement together within a seven-story structure near Beale Street, the riverfront, and the Orpheum Theatre.

Light guides the experience from the street inward. A continuous band of warm illumination defines the ground floor, marking entrances, storefronts, stairs, and pedestrian routes, while integrated lighting supports clear movement through the parking and mobility spaces above.

Bronze- and silver-toned screens filter the structure by day and reveal it after dark. Light passes through the layered façade, allowing ramps, stairs, and passing vehicles to become part of the building’s nighttime presence. Subtle color adds depth without competing with the surrounding glow of downtown.

The project received a 2024 Building Memphis Award for Best New Construction, Medium, a 2024 AIA Memphis Design Award, and a 2024 IPMI Awards Honorable Mention for Stand-Alone Facility Design.
