On Beverly Drive, the A.L.C. store is defined as much by light as by architecture. A transparent façade dissolves the line between street and interior. It lets the store’s glow spill outward, pulling visitors in.

Three vaulted ceilings set the store’s rhythm. Their plaster surfaces catch light like breath held in stone. Lighting is built directly into the geometry, keeping the ceiling plane clean while soft, indirect light traces each curve. Focused accents sharpen the merchandise against it.

Layered ambient and accent light draws out the warmth of oak millwork and the cool of poured concrete underfoot. The clothing displays gain depth, never competing with the architecture around them.

The fitting rooms mark a turn. Walls washed in saturated rouge plaster hold light differently, denser and more enveloping. It’s an intentional departure, one that mirrors A.L.C.’s balance of restraint and character. Light here flatters, but stays honest to color and material. Together, the vaults, the oak and concrete, and the rouge rooms give the space its quiet intensity.
