Senior Designer, Assoc. IALD, Assoc. AIA, MIES
Sarah began with CM KLING + ASSOCIATES INC. in 2012 while she pursued her Masters degree in Architecture from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University at the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC.
While in graduate school, Sarah was selected as one of four graduate students to partner with VA Tech professors to enter the Casey Tree Master Plan Design Competition which they won in June 2013. Her thesis research focused on the impact and important role that the Landscape has on Architecture, and how they are one in the same-not mutually exclusive. She was part of the Executive board of the AIAS (American Institute of Architecture Students) at the WAAC, where she helped coordinate Professional events that brought the academic and professional worlds together.
She has enjoyed the past few years of lighting design and hopes to keep honing her passion for architecture and the impact that light has on the built environment.
Currently she is collaborating on the following projects: 7901 Westpark, Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Doubletree Times Square, Google Reston, and Norfolk Hotel + Conference Center.
